The grant of clemency said Biden had granted "a full and unconditional" pardon to Hunter Biden for any offenses in a window from Jan. 1, 2014, to Dec. 1, 2024.
Hunter Biden faced sentencing for the false statements and gun convictions this month. In September he pleaded guilty to federal charges of failing to pay $1.4 million in taxes while spending lavishly on drugs, sex workers and luxury items. He was scheduled for sentencing in that case on Dec. 16.

and the official line is "they normally never come so hard at someone who just fills out a gun form wrong!". Bullshit on so many levels. First off, any state comes the hardest at people when there's any tax charge involved. Which the "excuse letter" is interestingly silent on. The one thing they won't let go is money. And second, they will come super hard at any little clerical mistake if they want to get you for something, and will ignore a literal body in the river when they don't. In that sense the "oh no, this is a political persecution!" line is a bit of an inadvertent admission that all prosecution is, in the end, political. Cops and state attorneys are political officers.

Pardon with a 10 year window for his son....
That's a pretty bad look.
