I never finished this, and trashed it a few years ago afaik, but I always loved the concept. I had a fantasy that I'd start a line of outlet art to sell on Etsy. Outlets are these crazy eyesores we accept being everywhere and I wanted to make lemonade out of them.

I would like to see the finished product. I feel like I want the canvas to be a bit smaller but that just might be because it is not complete.
You're right! A smaller canvas would probably sell better.
I kind of like odd proportions and inspiring a mild wtf feeling, but I know I'm squarely an odd duck that way.
Is this NSFW because of building code? lol

Ohhh
Help please
Did you zoom in?
Ah, I zoomed in too far. I was focused on the outlet. Now I get it lol
Who knew @k00b was so avant-garde?
You’re too innocent, we must protect you at all costs
I think I’m just not all here today. I’d hardly call myself innocent lol
Not a bad concept. I think it has some potential, especially if you focused on doing smaller pieces to hang at the eye-level outlets in bathrooms, kitchens, and workbenches.
But I like the obscenity angle though, perfect for a garage or man-cave.
Well, never say never. Who knows, posting this here might provide the impetus to fire up your engine again.
Gotta love your naughty naughty concept
Why not just outlet faceplate art? Much easier to sell mass market and for people to implement in their homes
The faceplate surface area is pretty small relative to the outlets. To make an outlet art, I think you want much more art than outlet. But you're right, people might not be so brave.
NSFW!
Where?
Without the second person, it's just nudity hidden. Isn't it?
Although, there's enough creativity applied while using the extension cord to cover it.

Haha 😂😂😂
What went in, trying to come Outta there. 🤣🤣
Hmm. There are outlet cover extension cords. You could fetch one of those and run it behind the painting, and then paint the cover to match the art.

😂😂😂
I thought it was hilarious.
Not my taste, but it made me laugh.
I'm curious about the "lemonade" part of your concept. What were you thinking of doing with the outlets?
making art that involved them.
Got it! Also were you thinking of using the outlets as a central theme or just incorporating them into the design?
I was going to do what was in the picture dude.
Damn!
