A few days ago, I shared photos of my friend's pilates studio grand opening. As you might expect, a few days later, they invited me to take some photos during one of their classes. They're just starting out and needed professional photos for advertising. I was super excited and went to take these beautiful photos!
The first thing I did was take a portrait of the instructor, as if she were greeting people as they arrived for class:
And in a few minutes, the pilates class began. My job was to document everything in real time. None of the people present "stopped" to be photographed, so I had to take photos while the entire class was in progress.
In these first two photos, they were stretching:
Once the stretching was finished, they proceeded to use the pilates beds for the exercises:
The space was small, so for most of the photos I used a 24mm lens to have more breadth in the photos:
The studio is really beautiful, so there was no way the photos wouldn't turn out beautiful.
This was my first time seeing a pilates class and I must say I really enjoyed it. I hope to be able to take the class myself in the near future. What I liked most was that everything was very calm and unhurried, but at the same time, quite a bit of strength was being exerted because you were working with your entire body weight.
At this point, I was already satisfied with the wide photos I had taken, so I decided to switch to the 50mm 1.8f lens to create a nice blur in the photos:
The truth is, my favorite lens is the 50mm 1.8f, BUT since the space in the studio was so small, it was difficult to take photos with the 50mm. However, I feel like I managed to get some very nice photos!
Here the class was already ending and they started doing stretches again to cool down the body:
And at the end of the class, I obviously took a photo of everyone together!
Both the instructor and I were super happy with the results obtained that day. I hope you like them as much as we do!
