I’m a Software engineer by trade, so lots of experience in general. I also contributed a fair amount to stacker news itself last year, so i was pretty familiar with the API

No idea why this randomly stopped working, but should be back in business now
does that mean your miner also stopped working?
It was still sending shares to the pool, which is interesting. Maybe there’s some DNS resolution caching in the miner process
Also only one of my miners is connected to this server, so only one would have been impacted, fortunately

At what time does one day end and the new day begin for posts you keep in the Saloon?
Every day at 11 AM UTC is opening a new Saloon. UTC is "Bitcoin time".
You can still post in old previous saloons if you like, but not many people will go back to read, at least if is an old chit-chat to continue...

OK, I can see that. I have been posting at UTC -6 time. I have posted right after midnight Central time. So the change time is 0500Central.
I guess that I will not be publishing a greeting right after midnight, here.
It doesn't matter when you post, is an open saloon anyways.
The thing is, what I observed, is that slowly after 10-12h the attention is lower in the saloon.
I remember 1-2 years ago that the saloon could have even 300 comments, starting very interesting "offtopic" discussions.
Now is kind of sad and empty and mostly crap, barely having 50 comments / day.
That might be because there are more territories going now then before, right?

I just pay more attention to details. Details that others are ignoring, for me are important aspects that later can help me take decisions.

My bullshit-meter is quite accurate and can detect quite easy the "bullshiters".
You have to be good at it. The BSers seem to have been multiplying beyond the ecosphere’s population capacity. They seem to come out of nowhere (both meanings).
Gotta say, never seen them like that. The most I’ve seen at one time was 5, a mama and 4 babies. We see a lot of these guys run over by cars, though. Sad every time.
