@Coinsreporter brought this to our attention. MLB is considering introducing challenges for ball/strike calls that would go to video replay.

Have they even defined what a strike is precisely enough for something like this?
It’s not robots but it’s a start.
Something that occurred to me is that they might be able to define strike zone by the players' heights. Then a little sensor in the ball could just register if the pitch went into the zone or not.
