I am guessing at some point MLB will address the deferrals and allow teams to do it but have rules about how it can be used to circumvent the luxury tax.

My only issue with this signing is a further highlight of the Dodgers circumventing the MLB caps. I’d honestly be fine if they signed Walker or their own talent to those kinda deals but poaching the others is just insane. I get they defer the deals but there has to be a bigger hit up front to even the scales for everyone.
