This week, the German far-right party AfD (Alternative for Germany) became the first party in Germany to announce that it will be campaigning for bitcoin in the upcoming elections in February next year.
I have to admit it looks like they have learned from Trump's campaign in the last election and admittedly they learn fast!
The AfD is already doing a fantastic job of running elections. They are smashing expectations everywhere and they are doing good hard work in the elections. They go door to door, they talk to people, they organise BBQs, community meetings and so on.
Now they are moving on to the next thing. Bitcoin prices are going up and the news is about that. Now they have decided to be the first party to promise no taxation on bitcoin. No regulation of bitcoins, wallets and exchanges.
They are smart and they have a good strategy. They are ahead of everyone else. The libertarian-leaning FDP has not announced anything and is highly unlikely to do so.
What has happened in the last decade or so? Now these tyrannical Nazis who want to deport people, control communications and force people to do certain things are the ones who want to promote freedom tech? I mean, it's basically vote catching, but please. Does no one see that the political world has gone completely mad?
When Nazis are pro bitcoin and the left want to join the next war (i.e. the German Green Party), isn't something completely off at this point?

I'm not sure how much of what you're saying is tongue in cheek and I have no idea how "Nazi" the AfD really is.
But from a US context, anyone who is even slightly conservative has been smeared as Nazis for years. If all you do is listen to corporate media in the US, you'd also think that the American "Nazi party" is pro bitcoin

This ^^
We really should retire the "Nazi" label unless it is self ascribed. I mean, that's my practice. I also don't call people communists that do not own it. Its just not necessary and damages yourself / movement long term.

we like the personal touch, the real-world peeps. Not the unrelatable, the professional elites, looking down on plebs. Crazy world when the crazies do the sane things.

They make you feel special, but be careful, when they wheel the power, you could be on your way to the next gulag in no time.

Nazi means national socialist which is pretty much the whole world right now so yes it is time to retire the word which has become meaningless
reply
So that's making it any better?

What makes you think that AfD is an off-shoot of the Nazis? Perhaps you have been imbibing too much MSM. Everybody to the right of Joe Stalin is a Nazi according to THEM. Have you tried reading My Struggle?
reply
If not a nazi, everyone on the right of Lenin is a right wing extremist, typical authoritarian propaganda
reply
So everyone to the left of Hitler is a communist?
reply
Looks like you are trying to set a bracket that exists only in the minds of the virus infested brains.
reply
I don't even know what that means.
