I don't know, they're very inconsistent with the odds release schedule.
I wouldn't even say you want to pick a likely loser, just a less certain winner.

No I didn't know you were automatically given a team when you forgot to pick. I know you did something similar last year where they get the worst team if they fail to pick but didn't know that was in play this year.

I like the idea of subjectively choosing whoever I think is the lamest pick. That will be under consideration for next year.
