Yeah, I am kind of tired of hearing jocks and nerds telling me what is best for me. They don’t know sh*t about my life, expectations and goals.
That is another think I despise; liberals and their fellow communists, telling me what is good for me (even though it hurts) and then feeling good about it.
What was it Chesterton said about that kind of tyrant?
All I remember about Chesterton is the fence.
reply
Chesterton, along with C.S. Lewis, suggests that it would be better to live under a robber baron than under an omnipotent moral busybody. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, and their cupidity may be satiated, but those who torment others for their own good will do so without end, with the approval of their own conscience.
I equate the tyrant to the moral busybody because they seem to be much the same.
reply
Indeed, that argument is familiar and I agree with it.
reply
Yes, there are too many of the pearl clutching moral busybodies out and about now-a-days.
