Welcome back to European football nights, Stackers. The anthem of the Champions will be played again tonight.
Three matches to watch tonight for Stackers. First of all, Barça will receive Brest at 9 pm CET. Catalans are struggling in the last 2 matches to win them. They lost against Real Sociedad before the internationals gap, and they only could earn a draw last Saturday against Celta. They were easily winning the match 0-2, but in 10 minutes Celta came back and the final result was 2-2. Their opponents had an interesting clash against Monaco. The latter won the match 3-2, leaving Brest in the 12th position. Are they concentrating in the Champions league? We will see night, tough match for the French side.
Then, Sporting Lisbon will try to beat another English club in back-to-back weeks. They receive Arsenal at 9 pm CET. Portuguese had an easy match against Amarante FC in the Taça Cup over the weekend. They beat the third division club 6-0 on Friday. So plenty of time to rest prior to play against Arsenal. The Gunners beat 3-0 Nottingham Forest. Will they be able to avenge the Man City loss? Ruben Amorim, brand new Man United manager, left Sporting Lisbon over the internationals break. Joao Pereira has been appointed recently, who has been at Sporting Lisbon for the last 3 years, looking after the Academy.
Finally, a thrilling match in München, where the locals will play against PSG. Both teams need to add a victory to qualify. PSG is currently out of the positions to go through to the next round. They lost in the very last minute last week against Atletico de Madrid. They have just 4 points and they haven’t earned any points in away matches this year. It won’t be easy to win them against Bayern. Bavarians are also in need to add points. They are better positioned, 17th in the table, but they must win tonight to get into a more comfortable position. They had an easy win on Friday (3-0) against Augsburg. However, it was not that straight forward. They only scored the second and the third goals in the overtime.
Also tonight:
  • Slovan Bratislava vs AC Milan (6:45 pm CET)
  • Sparta Praha vs Atletico Madrid (6:45 pm CET)
  • Man City vs Feyenoord (9:00 pm CET)
  • Inter vs RB Leipzig (9:00 pm CET)
  • Young Boys vs Atalanta (9:00 pm CET)
  • Leverkusen vs RB Salzburg (9:00 pm CET)
Will Man City be able to turn things around? They have increased their losing streak to five games in a row. Crazy! It is another match to pay some attention.
I will be watching Barça against Brest and updating you with some results. Please, feel free to make your own comments in the match of your choice.
Enjoy the night!

I’m still worried about City. I hope they turn things around and win this time.

Fun fact: Feyenoord has lost their two home matches and won their two away matches. Will they extend their away winning streak?

Looking at City’s current form, really worried about them. Honestly, it seems like the players want to sack Pep, so they're intentionally losing games 🤣.

Mercenaries taking this PL season off?
They got the balance a bit off this season. Should have bought one more DM when they let Kalvin go.
reply
Perhaps it's only normal after a great season. You need hungry players after years of success.
reply
It seems a bit weird! They have just signed an extension of his contract (just 5 days ago)

Yeah, I read that too. But I feel like something fishy is going on, especially since Rodri won the Ballon d’Or.

We will see in coming days!

Awesome. I will keep an eye on the scores.

Just to add that sporting have never beaten arsenal. Sporting are in a good moment but so are Arsenal, it's going to be a good game to watch.

Good point! What I love about stats is that the worse your odds are, the closer you are to break them. Regression to the mean!! Good luck tonight!
