Sorry I'm late to the thread. Yeah we've had some payments getting stuck in a pending state rather than outright failing lately so our server doesn't credit them back properly until I manually intervene in some cases. I'm hoping it resolves with the next Core Lightning release that should be coming pretty soon.

On rare occasion, I have seen a payment held up, and then rejected the next day. My guess is the larger size gets caught along the route at a node with insufficient liquidity.

Great. That was odd. It showed sent yesterday and updated my balance. My balance was showing 4k sats but I thought what the hell why don't I try again and the first one went through and suddenly my balance was showing 54000 sats so I guess they didn't go through yesterday and got returned but for some reason my balance didn't update until I did a transaction.
