That's not about historical migration i think. It refers to crossing borders or staying in a country without following its immigration laws.
That makes sense. I just feel borders are silly. In my experience, illegal Mexicans are often the hardest workers.

Should immigrants be excluded from welfare handouts such as Medicaid?
reply
Once undocumented immigrants set foot on the land, it's not good idea to deny them proper Medicaid and let them suffer or die without basic care. First and foremost, there needs to be a system to identify undocumented immigrants and establish a new law for them. They should either be expelled or granted legal to stay, ensuring fairness for all.

They can get health care without government insurance
They don't need Medicaid to get 'basic care'

Insurance is a scam in my opinion. We should take. Are of all of our fellow humans no questions asked.

Insurance is a scam is a different topic
"We should take care of all our fellow humans no questions asked."
This statement is untenable for many reasons.
- no one has infinite amount of money
- we shouldn't force anyone to be charitable
- not every human deserves compassion or assistance
- there are other reasons I can't remember right now
This comment is fiscally irresponsible and willfully ignorant
Taxpayers should ask how their money is being spent and on whom
Suraz,
Basic Care and Medicaid are two different things. It's wrong to conflate the two.
It's not fair to give undocumented aliens legal residence! We are rewarding people for breaking laws. We should do the opposite.
Fairness for all? Giving legal residency to undocumented is unfair to legal immigrants who have spent time and money waiting for their proper visas and green cards
A shortcut for people who cut in line is not fair
They have to wait in line like everyone else. You are demanding preferential treatment not fairness.
