Probably not popular in this territory, but I actually don't believe there are aliens or life forms out there. Two reasons:
  1. Religion. My bible mentions that God created everything in the universe, so if there is a life form out there, okay, God made that too. However, the bible doesn't mention anything like that. It's about God's plan for saving people here on earth.
  2. The absence of evidence actually is evidence. The fact that in all these supposed millenia and in all our looking for signs of life, the evidence is that there is none is telling us something. Every alien believer, including this article, has this basic logic: there are millions of stars and solar systems with billions of planets. There are tons and tons that are earth-like in temperature and water and atmosphere. So, there must be life on at least one. Also, as this article includes, the existence of things like water or oxygen and nitrogen and CO2 might suggest life. No, they suggest that there is water, oxygen, nitrogen, and CO2. To me, using the "there are millions of earth-life planets" argument is actually suggestive of non-life. If there are so many possible places for earth, why have no signs of life been found? Or in another way, all of those places are giving indeed giving us the evidence we've been looking for. A basic tenet of science is, when the data comes in, is humility. That humility is saying, "I had a hypothesis, the data is telling me I'm wrong."
FYI, I'm not anti-alien, they make great movies. 👽
All that said, the premise here is actually kind of funny to me: if aliens exist and they know we exist, yet choose to just ignore us...wow, that kind of hurts! They looked and us and said, "Umm, nope. Moving on."

Yes, aliens already know about the existence of humans, but they leave when they meet humans, because their physical form is not the same as humans.

What do you think they might look like?

Maybe we are living in the Dark Forest Theory, so it is not very advisable to be noticed by other civilizations 😱
