This looks like the data may be more accurate than that coming form BLS. BLS data is BS.

The “economists” at BLS are known to have a more leftward bias than other government economists.

Uh .. hu. Yes the leftist economists also have a bias towards lying to the public and their bosses. They are a fine crew of minions. My BS meter pegs out on a lot of government statistics, especially in economic areas.

Are you willing to lay the problems in theory, or problems with personnel? Or problems with groupthink in the BLS and government?

What I've heard is that the BLS had more of an explicitly Marxist founding, which still persists culturally. That's why a more neutral organization was created, the Bureau of Economic Analysis, to do less biased work.
