In your experience, who are the most generous Stackers? Who are the ones that give out the biggest zaps? Do you adjust your commenting style when interacting with them, hoping for a bigger reward? Do bigger zaps elicit better-quality posts?

Might sound cheesy but I’m really trying to kick start the circular economy here on stacker news.
Every sat I spend is another stackers income plus I was told
Sharing is caring
And
Giving is better than receiving
So I try to live up to those standards on SN!

If generous means who zap the highest, you can always see that here.

You might not see everyone but the hiders are also generous. Also, generosity for zaps is subjective to personal taste. If I like the content of your content somehow resonates to me, I might as well be generous for that content.

Spending isn't the same as zapping.
It would be neat to have a top zappers list.

There are different idiosyncracies that make it hard to say. Some zap lots of people, with little regard for quality, while others zap only a few, but they zap those a lot.
I know higher quality posts get more zaps, but I don't know if the quality would be worse had the expected zaps been less. I suspect those authors would adjust by posting less often, more so than posting lower quality.

Friends zapping friends is one big trend I've seen here. Even some 100k posts are the proof of it. But as I said zapping is subjective to taste, it remains high when you can be consistent and have made friends with more people.

I do zap regular writers than I might for similar quality one-off posts. That’s not specifically because we’re friends, but rather because I want regular contributors to stick around.

I wasn't pointing at you. I think you fall in other category which is -
I'm sorry ;) but that's how you described it.
That first comment was for those who'll zap only a few but zap them so much that every other post looks so inferior against them.
You'll get my point when you look at here by changing filter from zaprank to Sats.

Are you trying to make a list of who to be friends with?
There are many generous stackers but the most generous is @BlokchainB

I never relate stackers by zaps, but rather by the type of content they publish... I don't have much experience at SN, but that's how I perceive it
