Howzat Cricket Lovers
CricZap Cricket Today — Daily Discussion Thread is a post I intended to come up with ever since the CricZap Cricket Pool was launched. For some or the other reasons, it kept on delaying but not anymore for I can't let ass guessing go on forever in the Cricket Pool. I'm glad it's finally making strides to glorious CricZap branding.

What is this post for?

This post will mainly play a roll of an all-rounder who can both bat and ball and will be able to stop you from ass guessing. See what it'll do —
  • A daily schedule with a short preview of all the important matches. (May include a preview for a series/legue/tournament commencing)
  • A short recap of Cricket's previous day. (May include News and interesting matches)
  • A "CricZap Cricket Lesson of the Day" to help you all understand the game of Cricket.
  • A short Cricket video for entertainment and fun.

Timing for the post

The post will be up in between 12 PM to 2 PM UTC.
The first ever CricZap Cricket Today will be out tomorrow. I'm making this announcement in expectation of taking your views and suggestions. So, please go ahead and help me make it as much engaging and entertaining as you'd like it to be.
Thanks.
Good idea! I will take the opportunity to comment on the WI vs BAN match. What an impressive 1st innings from WI. 450 runs and even without running out batters. Why did they stop? Is 450 the maximum of runs in a test match?
reply
They have declared their innings. In test Cricket if the batting team thinks they have scored enough runs to ball out the opposition, they declare their innings without utilising all their batters.
However, in this match as I can see WI declared because they want Bangladesh batsmen to play in the evening time and put them under pressure by picking up one or two wickets overnight. Also, it wouldn't be very wise to send the last batsmen (who are always bowlers) to pas time.
reply
Again, as we talked earlier, a lot of tactics here. Interesting! Also, seeing this result, I understand now why you said earlier that would like to see a bigger lead from India vs Australia.
reply
Yes, Cricket is definitely a game full of tactics. Ha e you ever seen a 'stealing of a run' by merely pushing the ball with lose hands.
reply
No idea what you are talking about! By the way, BAN has lost 2 wickets already.
reply
This will give you an idea.
As I said the declaration was a tactical move. Now Bangladesh won't sleep the whole night and in the morning they'll be bundled out cheaply

Another CricZap post. Can you handle so many of posts. You're playing aggressively. ;)
reply
I like aggression and quick runs.
reply
Definitely good idea. I will going to join it.
reply
Thanks. It's a discussion thread and we need Indian Stackers to join it in large numbers. The first post will be out today in the evening.

Great. I am looking forward to learning something. Maybe then I won't have to wild ass guess my picks any longer.
reply
That's the purpose - no more wild ass guessing.
Any suggestions or additions you'd want to see?
reply
Nothing that comes to mind right now but after a couple editions of the series if I have any suggestions I will let you know.
reply
I'll be waiting for your feedback for they are always gems.

Awesome idea! We all can have a great discussion as well as it might improve my wild ass guessing skills as @grayruby said lol
reply
Is that what a wild ass guessing looks like?
reply
🤣 we should ask @grayruby

I think that a change in the leadership is cooking. @Undisciplined getting closer to a jumbo and @Coinsreporter close to bingo in round 8. Meanwhile, I won't get that much...
