They were lucky they only signed him for 4 years. It was a bad contract but could have been much worse. Most QBs are getting locked up longer than 4 years.

and I dont think his guarantee was as crazy he just had a short term high AAV I think he has been paid almost all of it since he has gotten $108 mil already of the $160

They would have been on the hook for $23 mil if he had gotten hurt this year and it had messed up next year. Instead they are taking $20 million dead cap hit
