An undocumented immigrant was found guilty Wednesday of murdering Laken Riley, the Georgia nursing student whose brutal killing fueled the national debate over border security and became a focal point in the 2024 United States presidential campaign.

Ibarra was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
