Just as archaeologists piece together ancient languages from fragments, we use patterns in AI conversations to understand their linguistic structure. Sometimes we find surprising similarities to human languages, and other times we discover entirely novel ways of communication.
If we are able to obtain some written alien text together with some context (such as visual information relating to the text), we could apply the same statistical tools to analyse them. The approaches we're developing today could be useful tools in the future study of alien languages, known as xenolinguistics.
Do you believe in aliens?
reply
I believe they are there. They might not be near or on the Earth still bit they are there in the space. So, you gotta believe they can be here anytime.

I wonder if aliens still use written forms. They should be so evolved that perhaps they no longer need written forms. Of course, it would be very curious to decipher their language.
reply
The aliens would have their AI and our AI would talk them and make a mess of everything.
