Holy s***
I didn't think Trump's team even knew who Jay Battacharya was, but he was one of the key voices crying in the wilderness during COVID. He got it right on COVID early on, but for some reason his name never really gained prominence on the right.

I first encountered him on this Nicole Shanahan podcast. She was RFK's running mate/bankroller so I suspect that's the connection.
reply
It could be RFKjr himself because Jay B was pretty well known from the declaration that notified CDC that their “safety measures” were not backed by any scientific research. They were just arbitrary decisions on behalf of the CDC administration and the health beauracracy. The scarf lady and Faucci made these measures up out of thin air.
reply
I feel f***ing vindicated, because I was sending doctors articles by Battacharya way back in April/May of 2020, opposing the lockdowns. Of course, no one listened, and someone even said, "Oh, economists care more about the money than peoples' lives." (If you didn't know, Jay B is primarily a health economist, not a practicing doctor.)
Well suck it, this guy is gonna be your boss now, and we were right all along.
Please excuse the harsh language. This is something I feel very strongly about.
reply
What harsh language? They earned every word of it! The ScienceTM was just a way to control people against their will and make everybody conform. He was correct in every meaning of the word and delivered the goods to the CDC. BTW, doesn’t this remind you, in any way, of Climate ChangeTM and the Green New Scam? Same people, same playbook.

I'm not sure how I feel about Gaetz and Hegseth, but the RFK wing of Trump's cabinet seems to be a group I can really get behind.

Well, we were looking for bulls in the china shop, weren’t we? Perhaps these guys mean business, but if they don’t, I’m sure that DJT will fire them post haste.

I'm of the same mind on Gaetz and Hegseth. The only common thread seems to be they're all blob outsiders.
reply
Aren’t all of Trump’s picks, so far, outside of the blob? I think only his pick for chief of staff is involved with the blob and associated tentacles (she did something with Big Pharma). Don’t we want blob outsiders in this administration? The more the better!

I want blob outsiders. I meant the common thread between Gaetz, Hegseth, RFK, Bhattacharya, etc is blob outside-ness.
I know nothing about Gaetz and Hegseth.
reply
It seems that Gaetz and Hegseth are outsiders, too. Gaetz pushed to get rid of McCarthy from house speaker. I don’t know anything about Hegseth, though. Was he the one that got discharged for not taking the jab?
reply
I think RFKjr knew very clearly who was whom in the whole mystery and miasma of bad advice. I think he will bring some common sense and some science (notice the small letters) back into the CDC and NIH,
reply
Vivek also definitely knew who Battacharya was. Trump has much better people around him this time.
reply
Perhaps he earned some hard lessons last time around! I think he has found that perhaps business advisors are better than swamp creature advisors. I can't wait to see the chainsaw come out!! Slim down the state!!!
