That would have to be done in a streaming series. Otherwise, there's just way too much detail.
I could see them doing the Dune series for 10 to 15 years if they were to use all of the books in the Dune universe. The universe is huge: #730664 There would be no end to it. Of course, that would make it more interesting, too.

Which Dune series is that? Is it the one from the Sci-Fi channel or the new movies?

Just watched the trailer! Where does this fit in on the series? Does it come before or after the original Dune novel?

3 days until HBO's Dune: Prophecy airs! This show focuses on the Bene Gesserit Sisterhood and the beginning of their breeding program. I'll be reviewing each episode as they come out. Fingers crossed that there are at least a few things to like about the show, I'm actually optimistic! Judging by the look of things, it seems the show mostly skips over the era depicted in KJA and Brian Herbert’s Sisterhood of Dune trilogy. So, what we're actually getting appears to be entirely new material based on Frank Herbert’s work, while incorporating some characters created by his son. We'll see soon.
OK, it looks a little bit like it comes from Sisterhood of Dune but it may come from earlier in the timeline. There are the rumblings of the start of the Bene Gesserit in the three earlier books. They were part of the original fight against the machines and come into play during and after the Butlerian Crusade.

I find the Bene Gesserit fascinating

I'm curious to hear how it is.

It looks like they took your advice and ran with it. I just wonder how it will go over. Does it have fidelity with he original books, the derivative books or is it completely new?
reply
I have no clue

I hope those watching it will keep us up-to-date! They can also tell us what they think of it.
