This code was shared by Satoshi with Hal Finney, Ray Dillinger and James Donald. Privately.

It was never publicly "published" in 2008. Instead, This v0.0 of Bitcoin code only became public (published) in a 2013 Bitcointalk forum post, authored by Ray Dillinger.

A private Hal Finney email showing he, Ray Dillinger and James Donald were cc'd on this email "Re: Bitcoin source files attached"
