So we're sitting in the airport, after going through security, and my daughter gets a text from her boyfriend. He is happy to discover that he forgot that he had bought a "couple of different cryptos" while in college years ago, and now they're worth a few hundred dollars. I told my daughter to tell him to trade them all for bitcoin. He's a fine young man, but I don't think he has ever had much interest in money and investments.
He's an intelligent guy, and rather than try to convince him as I would have done in the past, I'll just provide him with a few articles so that he can learn about it himself. I hope to take the advice set forth in this post more:
Hope he listens to you. Or if not you, your daughter

I believe it's more effective to educate people about Bitcoin rather than trying to persuade them to buy. They should have a solid understanding of what it is and how it works before making any decisions. By simply providing information, we empower individuals to make informed choices. If we try to convince someone to buy, we risk compromising their autonomy and could face potential liability if their 'investment' doesn't perform as expected.

Its hard not to butt in when you want something to be better for someone else. Hopefully he listens and comes back to you with questions.

Maybe he ain't that fine or intelligent as you think he is, taking care of your daughter (even as a BF) requires some "financial finesse" I would assume, if he ain't up for that, then I don't know...lol Facts kinda speak for themselves. Isn't that the younger generation should be teaching us about the new advancements in technologies and financial tools..... and not the other way around? :-)

You can only change one mind at a time. Too many targets spoil the proposition. Talking about BTC now is like talking about Microsoft and Apple in the late 80’s. There is a lot of potential for value enhancement in terms of fiat, but thinking of that is not quite the right frame of mind. Thinking about goods in terms of BTC is more the correct frame of mind. Fiat is for the derrière.

Offering to set up a wallet with them always piques their attention
But if they see the casino where you're swapping, you may need to subvert their attention for their future benefit
