It's Saturday, thus it is poll day!

Last year it was evident that Lebron and the Lakers really wanted to win the "NBA in-season tournament", which has now been dubbed the NBA Cup. I was skeptical of the tournament last year but it seems like a nice addition to the early season. Certainly @Undisciplined's pool adds some excitement to the games as we all try to win some sats.

I think we might cover this on the pod this week, so today's poll will be a nice tie in. When thinking about who will win the NBA Cup, one must consider which teams really want to win it. Some teams seem to care about it more than others. For example, last year the Lakers seemed desperate to win it, while the defending Champion Nuggets for lack of a better term appeared not to give a crap.

Lebron had a quiet scoring night but hit the game sealing bucket and had 16 rebounds.

I took OKC. They are in a relatively easy group, so should win their group and get into knockout stage without problems. They might have a hard time winning the west through the knockout rounds, as the west is super stacked, but this group of young guys is special, and I think they have a good shot. Hopefully, they would trade some of those picks for a rental 5 while Chet and Hartenstein are still out. Continuing on without a center is not a good idea.

Golden State

They already have two big wins against the better teams in their group and are likely to have an easier path.

They also seem eager to prove that the Warriors remain a force to be reckoned with.

Seriously? That's who I was going to pick and I was going to say on the pod that it's a nice add on to Steph's legacy like it was for Lebron.
