I mean I am putting it out there that maybe… just maybe… this is a sick joke and once he flames out of the AG confirmation Trump nominates Kevin McCarthy and we watch Matt Gaetz combust on live TV 😂 it would truly be an amazing moment in history lol
I don't think Trump would sign off on that, looks bad for him if the nomination blows up
Simplest explanation is that he's bait for a bigger trap, whatever they hit him with they'll get hit with 10x as hard after setting the precedent

Honestly because of how the confirmation hearing is set up its one way they ask he answers so I dont know how he could hit back with anything. His issue with Senate women is going to be the death blow
reply
There's no way it happens in a way that ends bad for Trump, either a hearing happens and backfires or it never happens at all because of recess appointments or something else planned
reply
Awwww come on I wanna see Gaetz just spontaneously combust!

Looks like that ethics report was more fake news, who could have imagined.
reply
Uhhhh nope since he withdrew he saw the writing on the wall

Sweet summer child, if they actually had something they would have used it, so why didn't they?
Putting him into submission would only confirm [they] are scared of him, so who does that help?
If they had something, why would he even have accepted the nomination and drawn fire? And are we to believe Trump doesn't have MI on him? Why might Trump use him to draw fire?
reply
That's literally not how it works with the Ethics Committee which is where is issue lies. No one who has been nominated resigned their seats except for him and two days before the report was due to be voted on to release. Do you think all of this is just a coincidence?
Why would he take it... easy he thought Republicans in the Senate would over look the issue since he assumed it was "closed". MI? Military intelligence? No Trump doesn't have access to those resources even if he wanted to? Gaetz took a ton of the heat allowing people to get past Tulsi and the Sec of Defense picks
