• Echo & the Bunnymen's Ocean Rain album was a landmark release for the band, and included the singles "Silver" and "Seven Seas".
• Frankie Goes To Hollywood topped the charts three times in this year.
• Stevie Wonder landed Motown's biggest ever UK hit.
