Hello Stackers!
It's Thursday so that means it's Throwback Thursday Time!
Throwback Thursday is changing, (or rather, I'm trialling something out).
I'm going to give you a bunch of clues and I want you to guess the year and comment a song from that year. Highest ranked correct answer (by "top") gets the bounty. Entries close prior to "Feel Good Friday" Post.
π¨A guess without a correct song doesn't win, both your guess and the song must be from the correct year.π¨
Here we go!
- The biggest pop stars of the day came together to form Band Aid, with their single "Do They Know It's Christmas?" becoming the best-selling single of the year in the UK.
- Prince's Purple Rain album and film influenced the sound and fashion of the decade, and he spent the most weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 with "When Doves Cry" and "Let's Go Crazy".
- Madonna's "Like a Virgin" had the longest run at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 of any song released in this year.
- U2's The Unforgettable Fire album was a worldwide hit, and included the singles "The Unforgettable Fire" and "Pride (In The Name Of Love)".
- Echo & the Bunnymen's Ocean Rain album was a landmark release for the band, and included the singles "Silver" and "Seven Seas".
- Frankie Goes To Hollywood topped the charts three times in this year.
- Stevie Wonder landed Motown's biggest ever UK hit.
And this anthem was released.

I gotta start making these harder somehow π€£π€£ spot on as usual.
You need tough clues. βThis album came out this yearβ is too easy. That takes 5 seconds to google.
Yeah, I know... But you're not meant to Google it π€£π€£ you're meant to rack your memory. But to be honest any clue can get googled quickly. It's more for fun than serious competition.
