I recently shared this meme and it got me thinking about this actual event.

On August 7 of 1974, a French circus performer named Philippe Petit decided to string up a high-wire between the two trade towers and walk across it ...multiple times and then get arrested as soon as he was done. It's a pretty incredible story. The amount of work, prep, and planning that went into this is hard to fathom. He had to assemble a team, acquire all sorts of equipment, and buy fake IDs to even access the buildings. He tells his story in an incredible documentary about it back in 2008 and then Hollywood made a docudrama in 2014.
