@Car and I were talking about TRL on SNL last week because I've mentioned it'd be cool to have moving audience cameras and make SNL more interactive. Then @ek asked what I was talking about because TRL was only a thing when I was a child and @ek was still not instantiated as a human being, so I sent him this video.
Obviously we'd do it with practically no budget, screaming girls, etc. I mostly just love how immersive the show is. Maybe someday we could even have Adam Curry do a segment.

I mean I'll scream if you want

One scream means a crime is being committed.

This would be great. Like a man-on-the-street type thing, live callers, etc.
Maybe I'm playing too much Fallout New Vegas, but I think we need a Stacker News Radio playing old school cowboy music.
How much bitcoin would it take to hire Sam Elliot indefinitely?

Never watched it but I had heard of it. I didn't get MTV in Canada until MTV wasn't a thing anymore and only showed reality tv shows.
MuchMusic was huge though. I think they had a similar type of show but I forget what it was called.

That'd be fantastic! TRL is still a thing here and it's quite popular. I think everyone is gonna love it.
Basically what you're talking about is accomplishing good visual editing with a lots of cher-ups and boos. The TRL is done among a crowd like the one @jimmysong has done in some of his videos. You need to be in an open area with mics and a big screen in the background. On the big screen you show the posts and comments by stackers and talk as usual you and car do on SNL. The crowd might be attracted when @car shouts in his own way for the most popular segment of Stacker News, the Cowboy Segment.
It's possible and it's a very good idea but it requires some extra bit of planning and proper execution in a well scripted manner.
Hopefully you find a place with crowd and they cheer up for our SNL, or be intrigued to return again.

It's just a fantasy right now, but a fun one nonetheless.

I want you guys do it. It'll be more fun and will catch everyone's attention. It'll be a kind of free publicity tool as well.
I think you also realise the potential of a TRL. What goes in trying it for once and at a small scale.
I'm saying a of this because I see you guys have been putting in a lot of efforts on SNL but it's not reached where it should be now. I know you do it for stackers, but ultimately, the bigger the better and TRL for SNL is a perfect marketing tool for both SN and SNL.

His age shows through his ideas.

It's great. I'll be waiting for SNL TRL. Will you take requests virtually or physically?
The entry of stars is biggest part of it. Would you invite our SN stars like @siggy47, @Natalia, @grayruby, @Undisciplined, @ek @plebpoet and many more. All that cheering is just mind-boggling.

Never watched it, never even heard of it, don’t think I would have watched it even if I had heard of it! The only decent thing in it was having the cast of LOTR on. But, of course, there were plenty of other venues to see them in at that time, and I did.
