I put them up around mid November, usually the weekend after Remembrance Day (Veteran's Day for the US). I take the long ladder to put light around the house, so I want it up there for show a bit longer. I also put light around the maple tree in my front yard.

strictly Christmas deco = beginning on Christmas eve
