This should be pretty sobering. It shows how moderate we are in aggregate. I recommend going back through other election years and noticing the subtle shift in red/blue.
I do think maps like this are useful when people start talking in grand absolutes about what the election results mean about the country or other similarly broad topics.
The country is very similar to the counterfactual one where Kamala won a narrow victory instead.
Still better than India. You bi party people won't understand the pain of people when the ballot consists 20 candidates for one role and a NOTA as well.
I don't think people know or think about the actual numbers with the population. At best two thirds of eligible voters actually vote. Those people are pretty evenly divided with their votes.
So a mandate is at most 1/3 of the eligible population voting for a person. This is seldom discussed by anyone because it really pulls back to veil of legitimacy we are propagandized into believing.
Been listening to people whining about Trumps victory. It's so pathetic to me.
Why can't we include United States of Canada into this. Only difference is that they have a different assembly where a clown is called the Prime Minister.
