A smile costs nothing and produces a lot

It enriches the person who receives it,
without impoverishing the person who gives it.

It lasts only an instant, but its memory is sometimes eternal.

No one is too rich to be able to do without it.

No one is too poor not to deserve it.

A smile gives happiness at home

And support at work.

It is the symbol of friendship.

A smile gives rest to the tired,

And encourages the most depressed,

It comforts the discouraged

And is the best antidote to problems.

It cannot be bought, nor lent, nor stolen,

For it is something that has no value,

until the moment it is given.

And if you ever come across someone

who does not know or cannot give a smile

be generous and give them yours.

Because no one needs a smile as much

as the one who cannot give it to others.
