I have observed a split in Bitcoin when it comes to Trump. First view being, He's anti-establishment and good for Bitcoin. The other being, all politics are a distraction, Trump is a puppet. Where do you fall? Or what is the other major camp I am missing?

I think Trump likes being the leader of a movement and that movement happens to be anti-establishment. He has a better set of people around him this time, not that it was a very high bar.
I'm moderately hopeful that they come through on some of the campaign promises wrt draining the swamp. However, I'm not expecting much more than the big nothing-burger he served up in his first term.
reply
That sounds pretty good and reasonable..I could see that being a good outcome... Him doing good things because there is a real movement. I can buy that because it doesn't deny his ego and hunger for power. I like that as a middle of the road..not too doom and gloom. And realistic

He may have wised-up on appointments! He was indebted to the banksters clans for too much as a developer to avoid appointing the ones who helped him out in his times of need. This time around, he has made noises about BTC and precious metals. It may mean he will not take the banksters hook and line. I also think he may have re-thought the military appointments and taken the advice of the colonels about who are leaders and who are a**kissers.

I guess time will tell.

Yes, all we can do is wait and see. Don’t like it, but there it is.

He is the establishment now, I just hope (as you) that at least 50% what he said will be done, starting with govt administration purge, twitter style (75-80 % people gone) Close the border ans stop the wars. F the rest f the world and their problems, this is 'Murica :-) (we can still be friends tho...)
reply
I'm sure that I don't want him to do most of the things he said he'll do, but I do want some: ending wars and gutting the state.
reply
Those 2 things would be awesome for sure.

People project more fantasies onto this man then a damn movie screen. Acting like he's all thoughtful and strategic in any way is fantasy.
I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt last time he was in office, and I observed he had no principles whatsoever, other than enriching himself and his cronies, and serving his own ego.
He talks tough on China and it's already making noises about getting rid of the CHIPS act, because leaving that in place would leave some of his predecessor's legacy in place, which hurts his feelings or something. I'm no expert there but it's one of many examples of how serving his base egoic needs takes precedence over any actual agenda.
I don't doubt he will do some things that I agree with, and some things that may end up with positive results, but those will be purely coincidental.
Electing him is like dropping a hand grenade onto the chessboard and seeing where the pieces end up.
Some people felt that was necessary and I can respect that, though I don't really agree. Many others who think this is a man with a plan are delusional.
reply
I agree with a lot of that. I do think he is run by ego primarily. Whether that works for us vs the other candidate, I am not sure. I kind of like a burn it all down approach.
reply
The election was not a referendum on Trump but a choice between him and Kamala who was a terrible candidate

everyone is under mind control.
getting out from under mind control requires many layers of unlearning. my friends say "but u used to say something else!" - that is precisely the situation, one cannot see the next layer of satanic narrative until one has transcended the current layer.
the traps are set up right before the goldmines, and very few are immune from falling for them.

Imo, people vote for Trump only because he seems the one who might challenge the old ways and ask questions to the establishment that have been censored for long. One more thing that people see in him is a protagonist of free speech. Let's see where he takes USA.

Agreed

Trump may be a lot of things, but a puppet of special interest isn't one of them. The system crashes where he touches it, and from my perspective, that's basically a good thing.

Trump returns to the White House with the wisdom of experience. He understands the games from the inside now, so we should a better team (already see the starting lineup). If (((President))) Trump follows thru on his promise to release Ross Ulbricht then we have a pretty good indication of the seriousness of intentions and follow-thru. I am optimistic while reserving my enthusiasm for the next couple weeks as he starts gathering a larger team.

It is hard to say what any politician will do. Trump seems sincere, but may be dogged and prohibited from doing his job. Who he appoints will also be a big deal. Is he appointing Black Sun types or other types. That will make a big difference in the administration.
reply
It's not yet clear whether Trump is good for Bitcoin or not. But he's certainly not a puppet. People vote for him for he seemed to them a better prospect than Harris.
reply
Some say he is a puppet for sure. How can we know?

It's hard to separate the individual from the policies. The individual is despicable. The policies cover a wide range of topics, so would be too much to cover them all. In his first term, he seemed to be mostly following the (conservative) establishment guidelines, he just does it in a more abrasive way. I don't expect it to be very different, probably with less checks and balances.

Trump is a moron who justifies incels anger at their parents. He's here to break the system which is fine by me. Neoliberalism needs to go.
reply
I believe that with Trump's victory, the price of Bitcoin will rise even higher, and everyone will prosper.
reply
it did already and will continue. I also wonder if he was serious about the BTC reserves, time will tell.

Trump will fight

Others - why are there so many typos? - This is funny!
But I went with #2
I also believe in God so I'm happy if it works and if it doesn't then at least I said what I would like. I also pray for very specific things and I suggest everyone do the same.
