Bitcoin wallets are protected with a Recovery Phrase, similar to a password, which is crucial for accessing your funds. In the wrong hands, through extortion, theft, or misuse, someone could access your Bitcoin. To safeguard against this, Rewind allows you to securely lock your funds in Vaults.
Once your money is in a Vault, it stays locked until you decide to unlock it. Unlocking initiates a countdown, giving you time to react if there's any unauthorized attempt to access your funds. If an attacker tries to access your vaulted funds, you can cancel their attempt by quickly moving the funds to an Emergency Address — a highly secure location only you can access.
For added security, you can assign someone you trust the ability to help manage these emergency situations, ensuring your funds remain safe even if you're under duress or incapacitated.
Try it out risk-free by using test coins provided for practice on our Tape Network, allowing you to explore all features of our wallet without any financial risk.
Download now the pre-release app and use test networks. Avoid real Bitcoin transactions.

This feature has been a promised benefit of vaults. I'm not finding any details here about how it's accomplished.

Ideally, you should download the app and test it. Redwind has its own test network “Tape Bitcoin” and they credit you 0.1 for each new wallet created. This network is faster than testnet3 and its current high fees.
