At the genesis of Bitcoin the answer to that question should be YES. The following is the opening statement of the Bitcoin White Paper summary:
"A purely peer-to-peer form of electronic cash should allow online payments to be sent directly between parties and without going through a financial institution"
Therefore Bitcoin emerges as a solution to a real need of humanity, so in concept it should be FOR EVERYONE.
But it is evident that even though more people today use Bitcoin, many people question the use of Bitcoin. It is no longer that they claim that Bitcoin is a scam, or that it is a bubble or that it is too complicated and they do not understand it; many people question: WHY SHOULD I USE BITCOIN?
It's like they're saying: WHY SHOULD I STOP USING THE CRAPPY CURRENCY THAT I'VE ALWAYS USED EVEN THOUGH IT'S NOT ENOUGH FOR ANYTHING AND EVERY DAY I CAN'T ENDURE?
So the correct answer is "Bitcoin is not for everyone"
When we start to enter the Bitcoin rabbit hole, we have the tendency to want all people to learn and adopt Bitcoin, that's not bad, but we must always do it with at least two things in mind:
-
We are libertarians, so we don't impose anything because people have the right to choose.
-
There are people who, even though they live like slaves, whether they realize it or not, WANT TO REMAIN SLAVES BECAUSE IT'S EASIER FOR THEM
So don't be discouraged when many say NO to Bitcoin, be happy when ONE SINGLE PERSON SAYS YES TO BITCOIN. For those who say YES, WELCOME. For those who say NO, BETTER MORE BITCOIN FOR ME.
