The thing about indifference is like saying others don’t matter, have no significance, might as well be invisible. So many people feel like they are invisible and that they don’t matter and that no one cares and that is tragic and painful. So when people are indifferent, I think that adds to the pain others suffer. Even acknowledging another person, smiling at them, being willing to lend a helping hand can make such a difference in a positive way.
