We are born equal, but only for a moment. Immediately, your life, your actions are largely determined by your country, your neighbourhood, your religion, the life of your parents.
From that moment on, you will be at war with the demons that are already at your doorstep and the ones you will meet along the way.
Some succeed and defeat them all. Some defeat some and many none, and as a result you are at the mercy of the design of the society we have created.
We die. And for a moment, just for a moment, we are equal again. But even after we die, we are not equal. Some go to the pantheon. Some are left to be remembered, and some crawl around like an unjust curse until they find peace, if they find it.
We are equal from birth to death, but in the meantime we have never been.
Men have never been equal.
