The challenge is finding balance before it takes more than it gives.

That's good to see India isn't even there on the list. It could easily top it.

I think it would be better to be off this list, it's getting a bit unhealthy.

I thought Brazil was in first place. Here if you don't use it, it's almost like being labeled a Neanderthal

Brazil is only 9 minutes behind Kenya. When it comes to talking about using social media or not, there's a lot to discuss. I personally think that spending more than an hour a day on it is excessive, it's even unhealthy. And it also says a lot about people.

I agree with you. I don't care much either. I like to look for things that add knowledge

500 million years... Good lord that is a depressing figure.

Surprised by these countries
reply
No way. I know a lot of americans who spend more time than that.
reply
There's a lot of Americans that spend no time at all on social media. Maybe America has an older population than those places.

Correct, these are average numbers for people aged 16 to 64.

Isnt the younger generation addicted to social media? And does SN count as social media?
reply
The younger generation is addicted to social media worldwide. Americas older generation is lowering the average of time spent on social media. And I personally would definitely consider SN to be social media.
reply
How many of us spend quite a bit of time on SN? Younger and older.
reply
Well I'm 43 and I spend a fair amout of time on SN. I probably spend more time on SN than any other social media, but we need more active users posting content here. Maybe we should consider a social media blitz day. I think I'll make a post about that on meta.
