It's great that the Matrix protocol is open source and available for researchers to create papers like this.

Also good to see that the vulnerabilities were responsibly disclosed, and that the Matrix team already addressed / is addressing them.

No idea why so many Dev teams insist on using centralised tools like Discord, Teams, and Slack.

Matrix is a completely useable, secure, self-hostable alternative.
