Not that recently, but missing a flight due to heading to the wrong airport is similar to your adventure. A whole citytrip down the drain and ridicule from friends.

Getting robbed of my passport while sleeping at the airport is another one.

Not realizing from the beginning I'd keep the ~science territory... this has cost me 10 months of monthly billing already, while I could have already paid of nearly 1/3 of the lifetime billing with it, i.e. 1 million sats. It's for the good cause, so not feeling bad about it either. I wasn't sure either 1 year ago I'd still be around.
