I havent' smoked weed since college, I'm about to turn 50. I started smoking it through a pipe recently, i ordered it from weedmaps, but what I'm wondering is the nug only gives me like 2-3 good hits, and then its dust -- is that normal? I havent' smoked since the 90s.
Back when I did smoke in highschool we used to pass the whole thing around a few times. Why am I only getting a few hits?

When you burn cannabis most of the THC is wasted. A lot of the effects are due to inhaling Carbon Monoxide, not THC.
When you are vaping the flower, it lasts a long time and you get a lot more THC out of it.
Sounds like its just a clean burning product.
Have you considered going into a shop and buying some really dense sticky bud?
I personally like the quick clean burn of dryer weed but if I wanted something that burns a lot longer, I would look for the real dense sticky buds that probably cost more.

Wonder if the flushing reduces the nitogen to a point where the combustion happens quicker.. Nowadays good weed is always flushed.. Also wonder if the old stuff was properly dry
