This week we head to Lions Bay loop. This is an easy 4.5km loop trail with about 175m elevation gain. The trail boasts dense forests, beautiful views of Howe Sound, and also a waterfall. The trail starts near the Lions Bay General Store and Cafe and follows the Centennial Trail north. Eventually, the trail reaches a viewpoint, where you can catch the beautiful views of Howe Sound. The trail eventually leaves the forest and comes to a clearing where the Sea to Sky Highway and Howe Sound can be seen below. Continuing on trail, the Crystal Falls trail can be reached, and as suggested by the name, following the trail brings you to Crystal Falls. Crystal Falls is a small waterfall that is part of the flow of Magnesia Creek; and although small, the waterfall is elegantly crafted by mother nature and quite pretty to look at. After seeing the falls, you can start hiking the second half of the loop to return to the trailhead by taking the Soundview Trail, then switching onto the Harrison Trail. Eventually, the Harrison trail meets the Centennial Trail and you take the first sections of the Centennial Trail, which you have already hiked, back to the trailhead.
