Mostly cause when someone asks that I don’t know them. If they don’t seem super bored I’ll say “you earn money on it and it plays with financial incentives a lot.
They equate Bitcoin with all the shitcoin scams
I answer "I work in Bitcoin" or "I work on a Bitcoin wallet".
If I'm talking someone who deserves to have fun staying poor, I just say "I work online" and refuse to elaborate.
