I probably saw him play live 25 to 30 times over the years. Recently Phil and Friends had periodic runs at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York. Right after one of those shows, I had a life changing health incident. After another, I learned that my mom had passed. Odd sad coincidences, but the good memories outweigh the bad.

Man, he was a legend. Never caught the Dead (or Phil and Friends) live, but I've heard so many great stories about their shows.

I know. I have to admit I didn't attend his shows at the Capitol Theatre after my mom passed. I'm not superstitious, but, maybe I am. I did see him often at other venues.
