If the moral reasoning actually held, anything from the USA and Israel should be sanctioned. I'm not in favor of Putin. He's as bad for freedom as any other world "leader". But to try to single out Russia is really ridiculous. How many foreign military bases for Russia? How many for the USA? How many wars started by the USA? How many people droned out of existence by the USA? Sanctions are an insult to our intelligence.
