Does this also apply to police interrogations? When I had to go to one because of a friend, I was advised to answer their questions with as few details as possible. Never say anything they don't ask because it might imply that you are lying.

If a policeman/judge/banker... asks you "Are you [and he says your name and surname]?
your answer defines your status
if you say yes
you just agreed to be surety/life giver for the persona that sounds like your name
you gave away your rights for privileges
you accepted their authority and must obey them, otherwise it makes you dishonorable, wich, in law, is pretty much similar to murderer
when you went to the interrogations, you played by their rules, and they can and will use anything you say against you if they can
reply
