Only 2 games tonight, but both seem to be fun to watch. Knicks at Celtics on the East and Timberwolves at Lakers on the West.
Anyone watching? Which game will you be following? Expectations? Predictions?
Either way, so hyped for the NBA regular season to finally begin again. We are hosting a family dinner tonight with in-laws and wife's sisters' families, but you know damn right I'll keep the TV on to follow both games.
I put a Celtics + Wolves parlay bet for tonight.
reply
I need 3 more points from Brown to hit my Tatum, Brown, Brunson all 15+ points parlay.
reply
Congrats on your win.
reply
Won a sweet 1.25. But it all gets added to the profit pool to buy bitcoin at the end of the year.
reply
Looks like you got the Celtics win mostly in the bag. Let's see how the Wolves play against the Lakers. Wish you good luck.
reply
My takeaway so far is the Celtics aren’t going to shoot 55% from 3 all game but Knicks D doesn’t look good.
reply
It's looking like it'll take the Knicks a little while to work out their chemistry. It's also clear that the Celtics are still a dominant team.
reply
See, I was right. They aren’t going to shoot 55% from 3. They are going to shoot 60% from 3. Knicks offense doesn’t look bad. The Celtics just can’t miss.
reply
On fire with the 3's! Still the same team indeed, live and die by the 3 like last season.
reply
Getting punched in the mouth by the defending champs might be the best thing for the Knicks after everyone was anointing them the next ones.
reply
The Knicks need time to work out their chemistry. KAT looked like he was on an island on a lot of the plays. The fact that the Celtics can't miss didn't help at all.
reply
Agreed. Clearly the Celtics are still hungry though.
reply
I didn't think the Knicks looked very special on either end. They need to establish an identity.
Need the Twolves and the under in game 2.
reply
Their defense isn't looking very impressive and their rebounding is terrible.
reply
8 blocks for Lakers. 1 for Twolves. 7 steals for Lakers. 4 for Twolves. 7 turnovers for Lakers. 16 for TWolves.
Ugly.
Lakers shot 16.7% from 3 and controlled the game start to finish.
reply
I thought the unders seemed a little low.
reply
Under hit on the Lakers/Wolves game. But Wolves didn’t win so no good for me.
reply
I'm not going to stay up late enough for the West game, but I'll catch up in the morning. Both games are exciting and might tell us a fair amount about the early part of the season.
  • Is JJ making better use of the Lakers' talent?
  • Does Randall fit with the T-Wolves?
  • Does KAT fit with the Knicks?
  • How will Boston hold up without KP?
I put a little down on the Knicks, who are pretty heavy underdogs, thinking they might come out with a big energy advantage.
reply
Your bet on the Knicks not looking so good. Celtics on fire tonight.
reply
Three more misses and I'll just be waiting for my NFL futures to hit in February.
reply
Is JJ making better use of the Lakers' talent?
Looks like he's using AD as a play making big and running a lot of plays through him.
Lakers also dominating offensive glass, probably a big reason for their lead.
reply
Crashing the glass is a better use of Rui than transition D.
reply
Hahaha, I think it's great that you're enjoying yourself with your family, friend, @gnilma. The Lakers are yours tonight.
