I just learned the other day that they took all the capstones off of the pyramids and they are in museums. Can you imagine how cool it would look with black granite capstones?
I always thought they were gold... and got robbed over the years... I wasn't there so I can't say for sure :-)
Not sure about the gold. Maybe some of the writing had some gold in it.
