Hi, my name is Undisciplined and I'm a Raiders fan.
Year after year, this team does just enough in the off-season to give me hope and, year after year, they disappoint in remarkably consistent ways:
- Missed tackles
- Penalties
- Alienating star players
- Red zone ineptitude
- Inability to create turnovers
How can so many coach/GM combos keep failing in the same way? Is the Davis family the reason they can't tackle, because they're the only constant?
These next ten games are going to be a real slog and they still might not be bad enough to get their QB in the draft. This is the most hopeless situation I can remember.
Our last era of excellence was destroyed by Tom Brady and the goddamn Tuck Rule, 20 years ago. Maybe having Brady join the team will exorcise whatever demons are haunting it.
Haha. We should have a lot of members.
Normally, I’d say the 49ers don’t qualify. After that performance, though, they might warrant expedited membership.
Fortunately they have the Cowboys coming to town this weekend and that is usually good for a win. If they lose that one sign me up.
If I have any sats left, I'll be putting them on the Cowboys, because the 49ers are ridiculously heavy favorites.
Agree
Cowboys coming off a bye week. Likely getting some of their injured guys back. Meanwhile Aiyuk is out for the year with a torn ACL and Samuel is in the hospital with pneumonia. If the Cowboys are going to beat the 49ers this is probably the year.
No Cowboys fans lol
Unless you are from Texas
The non Texan Cowboys fans are annoying because of their general ignorance of football
Jets...you both have more super bowl rings than the Jets, owned by idiot Woody, perennial shitshow
Welcome
Being 2-5 after going all-in is pretty tough.
Doesn't matter who the coach or QB ever is
Trust me, I hear you on that.
I think the Jets will go on a winning streak. The schedule gets easier
Hi, I'm a Washington Redskins fan. Welcome to the group.
Omg, I'm so sorry for your loss. It looked like you were going to have the most fun player in the league and the most exciting offense. Now you have Marcus Mariota.
Your team looks good this year
Chargers fan here
Raiders should have promoted Bisaccia to be head coach permanently after 2021 season where they almost beat the bengals in the wild card round
They wasted 2 years with Josh McDaniels
Derek Carr is still a good quarterback. Look at the saints since he got hurt
2021 raiders were a good team even after losing Ruggs who decided to become an amateur racer in Vegas
3 years later different head coach and quarterback
Adams trade could only succeed with Carr as QB
My two pennies
Every time we get a taste of success, someone pulls the rug out.
👏👏👏
I noticed gun emoji next to OP
Yes, I finally found another one.
Is gun like a cowboy hat but better?
I'd say so, since I know how to keep a cowboy hat.
Just got more into sports in the last few years and while it's been exciting at times, I can't help but see all the time spent and how often I'm disappointed, and wonder why do we do this! I pull back to a position of just wanting to see good play but even that's a dice roll. I look forward to the season and then to the post-season and then to the end of it all so I can get my time back. It's exhausting and I'm not even a Raiders fan!
Who do you root for?
San Jose Sharks
What kinds of frustrations do they provide their fans?
Winless in the first seven games after getting #1 and #4 draft pick. Last season a disaster but almost a Major League plot to get those picks. Guess before I started following they got themselves in a multi-year bind with expensive contracts so had a good season or two but no Cup. Hard to see a long-term vision from ownership as to how they're going to become a top tier program.
How do those draft picks look? Any cause for hope there?
Well one is week to week with a non serious injury and with the rest of the team clearly not gelling it seems prudent to let him heal. The other may develop. My hope is I can check in later in the season and see that they've got it together.
