Based refers that which is well founded usually in principal, social relation, emotion, or mind.

A child can be considered based if he or she doesn't have social anxiety or isn't affected by emotional or social pressures and are set out in the right direction, most likely having been raised and strengthened by good parents.

Bitcoin is based. Satoshi Nakamoto did a wonderful thing; setting Bitcoin on the foundation of freedom, self-control, value and wealth, ethics, honesty, unity, decentralization, simplicity; and even without corruption.

So is it like being able to see that which is true for oneself with out the social conditioning?

reply

Yeah you can go with that I guess.

'Having descretion by sight or by living/deportment. Unwavering.' (As refering to a human being)

reply

I definitely understand it better than I did. Is it a term people find triggering?

reply

Speaking from my view: it doesn't trigger. It's used in the context of tension between based as opposed to corrupt. 🤔

I see the the term used in comments on Youtube. Usually the video recorded something contensious and the commentors siding with the "based" one.

reply

How often do those who are corrupt have conscious awareness of such.

reply

Good question! I'm afraid I don't have the answer to that! I wonder about it so much myself. Can one who is not a villan put himself in the mind of a villan? Truth wins in the end, though it may be after a bruise to humility, which in turn, rendered itself exalted.

reply

I think maybe we have to experience pain to get to truth.

reply

Or maybe ...to prove the truth! 😃

A synonym I forgot to use here is 'resilience'

reply

Hmm. I think I kind of get it. Thanks for the response.
