I played at the "Freedom Stage" last night, which I think was ironically paid for by Fifth Third Bank. Anyway, I wore my freedom hat.
I was wringing my hands the whole time about whether or not to put a bitcoin.rocks sticker on the plaque for that piece of the Berlin wall. In the end, I don't think that's the hill I want to die on. I'd rather get thrown in prison for helping some overseas political dissenter with my node.
I'm back at this festival on Saturday and am going to bring some cashus to distribute.
What kind of music are you playing?
reply
This gig was with a brass band.
Here's a pic from the sousaphone feature! haha! I don't want to dox him, but he's got a whole dance routine in this song we do that he wrote specifically to feature this weirdest of all instruments.

Excellent! Will you try to orange pill George Clinton soon?

Unfortunately, I’m not in touch with George anymore. I still talk to Bennie the most (as far as that crew). There is one person who’s household name level that I’ve been able to speak with about bitcoin and he’s interested in sitting down and really getting into the why and how of things. I’m pretty optimistic about it. Most of my musician friends conflate Bitcoin and crypto (both those that are into it or opposed) in a way that’s REALLY hard to tease apart.

Yeah. That sounds like the same problems we all face. The difference is, if you convince a big name, that could make a difference
